Not rated G.

Last week I did yet another photoshoot - same vintage lingerie photographer as last time, and this time he did me a huuuge favor by offering to shoot some pin-up style shots for me to send to Denis. Unfortunately, it seems that Denis' MTI is a hard ass, and I can't send him anything even remotely sexy, since apparently my last pole dancing photo would be deemed "inappropriate." (Inappropriate how?! I'm covered up, no cleavage or undies showing... people watch gymnasts doing similar things in skin tight leotards during the Olympics, don't they?) I hate how the Air Force only gives very vague guidelines on what's appropriate to send - they say "rated PG", but some people would argue that the Victoria's Secret catalogue is PG or PG13... so I guess I can't really send him my pin-up photos either. Bleh. So I guess I will share them with you, my readers, because I'm vain and I thought they turned out pretty well. I mean, it kind of is a makeup-based photoshoot, so it's totally relevant.

Look closely at the back of my right knee... yup, that's a pole bruise right there.

This one is probably my favorite shot.

I love the posing on this one, but my face is looking a little... eh... how do I say this?... herp derp.

Ooh look, an artsy black and white one!

Denis asked me to send him more pictures of us together, since his MTI doesn't really believe I'm his wife, and it's a rule that he has to show any photographs he receives to his MTI to make sure it's not "inappropriate material." Seriously. He thinks I'm cutting pages out of catalogues or something, which I will take to be a compliment to me, and an insult to Denis. Maybe I should write a note to him or something -- "yes, this is really me. I'm attracted to Denis because of his enormous manhood. Also, makeup does wonders!"

To stay on topic, here's what I did for makeup:
-Eyes are rimmed with L'Oreal HIP Kohl in Black, lashes curled with Shu Uemura and coated with Maybelline Pulse Perfection Waterproof Mascara. Eyeshadow is all from the Urban Decay Naked Palette, with Toasted on the lid, Smog in the crease and smudged into the lower lashes, and Virgin as the brow highlight. Skipped the false lashes from last time, since they were a little too much. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion as the base, and also MAC Sublime Nature paint from my lashline to the bottom of my brow bone. (It's a fleshy beige shade just slightly deeper than my skin tone, so it simultaneously evens out my eye lid and adds a little depth to the eye.)

-Skipped the foundation, used Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation as undereye concealer and MAC Ladyblush creme blush on cheeks. A little bit of Maybelline Dream Matte powder was patted on the T-zone to prevent shine.

-Lips are L'Oreal Color Juice Stick in Personali-tea, as shown in the picture. And that's it! Simple and quick to do, much less involved than the makeup I normally do for photoshoots. Sometimes less really is more.

  5. @Nana - let's do a shoot together then! :D I love working with this guy, he's lots of fun and really friendly, but his focus is more on my body than my face (at least I think so) and sometimes he happens to capture me when I'm making a hurr-durr face :P
