- write a paper, publish. Aiming for J. Computational Neuroscience, if not Nature Neuroscience!
- graduate and get a job, so I can take on all those wonderful adult responsibilities. But mostly so I can have money, because I promised Denis I'd buy him an E46 M3 someday.
- remember to moisturize regularly. I am ashy.
- put those Felix Cane instructional DVDs Denis gave me for Christmas to good use, especially for flexibility. (I had a hamstring injury that's been quite literally cramping my style for the past couple of months.) I want to be able to do splits again by next month!
- keep up with pole, but with a focus on finesse and not so much on new tricks. I feel like I already know quite a few tricks, which would look a lot more impressive if I could only do them gracefully... I'm still kicking into my shoulder mounts a little, but at least I can hold it and make it look pretty good. Mostly, I think I need to work on transitions in and out of my tricks.
- take my vitamins everyday. Because they are GUUD FER YUUU.
- go to the sauna to relax once a week. Because that's GUUD FER YUUU too.
- related to being ashy and relaxing at the sauna: remembering to regularly massage myself with arnica oil, because the bruises from pole are really starting to make me look like a battered wife:

- save at least $1000/mo and put away $600/mo into an index fund so I can't go around spending my money on stupid shit.
- not buy any more makeup, except to replace staples. Oddly enough, this one will probably be the easiest for me to do. I've given away around 50% of my stash (to a younger cousin who is just getting INTO makeup) and I think I'm done experimenting with products. My one and only big purchase last year was the Urban Decay Naked2 palette, so now that I own every permutation of neutral eyeshadow known to man, I think I'm done with this chapter of my life. Unless Urban Decay puts out an all-matte palette. Or a "pick and choose to fill your own" palette.
- last but definitely not least... planning a successful wedding. I really need to get on sending out those save-the-dates and invites. Man. But here's a little sneak preview of the big day:
I got that shit altered to fit me. And it does. YEEEEEEAH BOOOOOIIIII!
It's a gorgeous dress. When is the special day? Anyway, happy new year!
ReplyDeletesomeobody's getting married! *squeals* hee hee, damn nice bruises you got going on there!
ReplyDeleteooh such a pretty dress!!! You'll be most gorgeous bride on Earth! ^.^
ReplyDeleteSounds like some great resolutions! I'm gunna get started doing some pole classes and I can't wait. I have no idea what it may/may not be like. I'm anticipating a shit tonne of hard work and I'll have to really work on my upper arm strength.
ReplyDeleteDid you still have your pole blog going?
I don't update my pole blog anymore (it seems to have fizzled out - NOBODY updates!) but I do still pole, definitely.
DeleteWow! That dress is stunning! No doubt you are going to look exquisite on your big day!
